Boston University beats Harvard 7-1 before 14,335 at Boston Garden. Despite the Blizzard of ‘78, the tournament’s first round was held on February 6, 1978, with Harvard defeating Northeastern 4-3 in overtime, and Boston University defeating Boston College.
